According to reports from Japan (and we’re pretty excited to cover somewhere different), Leicester City are interested in the Portimonense winger Shoya Nakajima.
Outlet Nikkan Sports has a report this Wednesday claiming that the Foxes are keen on making a bid for the 24-year-old so he can join them during the January transfer window.
The amount Leicester City would be prepared to pay is said to be €20m. Even though the outlet doesn’t point it out, Transfermarkt says this is the amount of the player’s release clause.
Nikkan claims that there’s a pretty big race for Nakajima, with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Porto, Benfica and Sporting all interested in him.
Nakajima is having a good season for Portimonense, with four goals and three assists in eight games.
It’s been a while since he started excelling for the Liga Nos side, and the Portuguese press expects him to be a big sale for the club in the near future.
