Caglar Soyuncu’s agent Mustafa Dogru has spoken to Turkish radio station Radyospor about his client’s performances and recent transfer speculation.
After an excellent start to a season with Leicester City, the 23 year old has been linked with a move away from the Foxes, with the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United said to be interested in signing him.
Speaking about a potential transfer, Dogru said, as covered by Ajanspor, neither Leicester City nor his client are looking for a move at this stage: “Of course it’s perfectly normal for him to be involved in transfer speculation after his performances with Leicester City this season.
“However, we have no interest in this discussion. Both club and Caglar are looking to continue with each other. He is only focusing on the remaining of the season.”
Dogru also said Soyuncu’s much-improved performances are a result of multiple factors as he praised both his teammates and Brendan Rodgers: “I have to say, he’s performing well above our expectations. Obviously, we were thinking he will get more playing time this season.
“In his success, I think we can underline the importance of his teammates and the manager.”
Soyuncu has helped Turkey to qualify for Euro 2020 with his impressive displays, which has likely encouraged transfer hype in his home country.
The defender has made 13 appearances for the Foxes this campaign and is under contract at the King Power Stadium until June 2023.
