Leicester City signed Bartosz Kapustka from Polish club Cracovia in 2016, but the winger has spent time away from the King Power Stadium in the past two seasons.

The Foxes allowed the 22-year-old to join Belgian First Division B side OH Leuven on a temporary deal.

On March 29th, he came on as a second substitute for Mathieu Maertens in his side’s 1-0 home defeat to Tubize in the league tie.

Polish outlet Wprost claims the attacker picked up a ‘serious injury’ against Tubize and this could be force him to miss the summer’s U21 European championship that will take place in Italy in the summer.

It’s stated that Kapustka suffered an anterior cruciate ligament damage and the report explains such injuries would require the player to undergo surgery and spend several months on the sidelines.

If the reports are true, Kapustka will not feature again this season and it’s a blow to his development.

At Leuven, the Polish U21 international was showing positive signs of improvement and the latest injury setback will come as a massive setback to him and a concern to Leicester City.
