Leicester City midfielder Adrien Silva has been spotted in Lisbon watching his old club Sporting at the weekend.
The player was photographed with his wife and kids at the Estádio de Alvalade on Sunday watching the home side beat Chaves 2-1.
Newspapers such Record and O Jogo all report the news, and unsurprisingly, link Adrien’s visit to recent rumours about his potential return to the Lions.
O Jogo recalls that Adrien wasn’t in the matchday squad for Leicester City’s match against Burnley this weekend, and hasn’t been much used by manager Claude Puel.
That’s why they recall that during the elections, candidate José Maria Ricciardi had promised to bring Adrien back to Sporting.
He lost, and then the rumour went cold for a while.
Newspaper Record says that the Lisbon side still want to have the midfielder back, but the wages he gets at Leicester City are impossible for Sporting to afford.
Adrien Silva’s last appearance for Leicester City was in late September, in a League Cup match. In the Premier League, he hasn’t played since the second fixture in mid August.
