Greek website Sport-Fm.Gr reports Leicester City’s Islam Slimani is no longer a target for Olympiacos in this transfer window.
It’s reported the Algerian striker isn’t keen on playing in Greece as he wants to continue his career in the Premier League next season.
His disappointing loan spell at Fenerbahce has finally come to an end after he scored just one goal all season. Subsequently the Turkish side aren’t looking to keep him so he’s now looking for a new club.
Slimani’s has also been linked with a move to his former club Sporting but the Greek media believe he wants to kick start his career by signing for another Premier League club.
The Portuguese media believe differently, obviously.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle United where he only played four games and failed to score.
Slimani is under contract with Leicester City until June 2021 but it looks like he has no future at the club.
