Swap deals are often rumoured but rarely happen, especially when English clubs are involved. Even rarer are swap loan deals but it looks like this can come off for Leicester City and AS Monaco.

Whilst Youri Tielemans potentially moving to the Foxes on loan has got the most attention, with the Belgian international at one stage considered something of a wonderkid, the move isn’t so bad for Adrien Silva either.

The Portuguese midfielder has had a frustrating time under Claude Puel and it’s clear that things have become a little personal between the two. Adrien’s father, who also works as his agent, made that clear when speaking to the Portuguese media earlier this month.

As time went on it looked like the former Sporting player could again miss out on a move, but now he looks likely to join Monaco’s fight against relegation. That will be under Leonardo Jardim, a manager who has been presented as seriously wanting the player.

Wednesday’s edition of Nice Matin, Monaco’s main local newspaper, says that whilst the Tielemans case is close, Adrien is expected in the French principality today to complete his move to the club.
