Bryan Mbeumo finished his debut season at Brentford with 16 goals and seven assists in the league and he could ‘one of the attractions’ of this summer, reports Foot Mercato.

It’s claimed Leicester City are ‘interested’ in the winger.

The Foxes are ‘very attentive’ to players who have passed through France, and the report cites the past signings of Fousseni Diabaté, Adrien Silva, Nampalys Mendy and Ricardo Pereira as examples.

Mbeumo joined the Bees from Ligue 2 side Troyes AC last summer, and Leicester have been ‘particularly interested’ in the 21-year-old in recent days, following his impressive performances in the Championship.

The outlet states Brendan Rodgers’ side believe the France U21 international’s profile ‘fits perfectly with the characteristics’ of the club.

Foot Mercato only state the attacker’s profile is of interest to Leicester, but there’s nothing to indicate the Premier League club are ready to take the necessary steps for his signing.

In addition to this, the website doesn’t specify whether or not Brentford are ready to sell Mbeumo this summer. He has a contract with them until 2024.
