AS Roma winger Cengiz Under will move to Leicester City on a loan deal, reports Turkish journalist Ertan Suzgun.
Suzgun claims Leicester City will pay a £3m loan fee to Roma, and the Premier League side will have the option to make the deal permanent for £24m. These reports of a move to England have also been backed up in the Italian media, as we covered yesterday.
The Turkish international will receive €3.1m in wages after-tax, along with performance-related bonuses, says Suzgun.
He also states talks have been handled by his agent and former basketball player Mirsad Turkcan. Under now will fly to England at the weekend as he’s currently waiting for a work permit.
His move to Leicester City will reunite Cengiz Under and Caglar Soyuncu who played together at Altinordu for two years. Both players came through the Turkish club’s academy.
Under joined Roma from Turkish club Basaksehir for €14.25m in 2017 and has made 88 appearances for the Serie A side, scoring 17 goals. His contract will expire at the end of June 2023.
