As Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport writes about the moves that Inter Milan could make in the January transfer window, an interesting rumour about Leicester City shows up.
The outlet writes that the most likely player to leave the Nerazzurri next month is Matias Vecino, whose time at the club seems to be coming to an end.
The midfielder’s contract with Inter Milan expires in the summer, and he’s already ‘shown the desire’ of walking for free by then.
However, Gazzetta points out that the club wouldn’t mind to see him leaving in January either. Firstly because they’d save all the salary they’d need to pay until the end of the season, and then they could also make a little money with a sale now.
It’s said that some Premier League clubs ‘moved for him’, with Leicester City included, and Napoli also interested. The newspaper labels it as a ‘situation in evolution and to be monitored’.
Inter Milan are set to let the player choose whether to stay or go in January, so an approach from the Foxes or any other side would definitely impact his thoughts on his future.
