It didn’t take long. After Moussa Sissoko’s great performance at the Euro final, he has already been linked to the current Premier League champions Leicester City.

Catalan newspaper Sport says Claudio Ranieri sees Sissoko as a good replacement for N’Golo Kante, who could be leaving the club this summer. They claim it’s very hard for the Foxes to keep their French player, and they can see an exit happening.

In Sissoko’s case, the 26-year-old would like to leave the recently relegated Newcastle, and has already told Rafa Benitez his desire. It’s claimed the transfer would cost Leicester around €20m, which is much lower than claims coming out of the North East.

It’s a bit unusual for Sport to break news about transfers between Premier League clubs, especially when the players involved have never played in Spain.

There are claims about Sissoko everywhere today, maybe Leicester is more realistic than some of the others. L’Equipe feel Sissoko would suit one of the Manchester clubs, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus or PSG.
