Leicester City remain keen on Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah, who will be available for €5m cheaper this summer.

That’s according to SportBILD journalist Christian Falk, who says the centre-back wants the move to England if it is offered to him.

Leicester were heavily linked with Tah last summer when it was clear that Brendan Rodgers was hunting for a centre-back to partner Caglar Soyuncu long-term.

Eventually, he settled on Wesley Fofana from Saint Etienne, with the French defender having proved to be a huge hit since his arrival.

However, that has not seen the links to Tah disappear; instead, he has continued to be linked, and the player recent fanned those flames when he revealed he wants to move to England at some point.

Falk now says that could be on offer in the summer, with someone at Leicester pushing for the move after watching the defender at former club Hamburger SV.

“Tah to Leicester could now be hot again,” he told BILD.

“There were already movements last summer, and there is somebody at Leicester who knows him from his HSV time and is pushing.

“He has an exit clause, but this is set to reduce by €5m in the summer, which means that, according to our information, he would cost €35m.

“That is still a lot of money in these times, but he is becoming easier to finance, and he would like to take this step now.

“He’s been in a funk lately and he’s always wanted to go to England and if they give him that opportunity, then I assume he’ll do that.”
