Leicester City are reportedly one of the clubs in the race for the signing of Bologna starlet Mattias Svanberg.

A story from Calcio Mercato today details the growth the player has been having in Serie A lately. And with two goals scored against Spezia at the weekend, he’s starting to draw the attention from several sides.

The Foxes are in the list of clubs who’ve been watching the 22-year-old’s potential, but they must be aware that the competition for his signing should be pretty big.

The report claims that AC Milan are coming strong for Svanberg, as they already held talks with Bologna in January and should try the transfer once again in the summer.

Besides the Rossoneri, there are a couple of more clubs who’re interested in the signing. The likes of Inter Milan and Southampton and are said to be keen on the Sweden international as well.

Bologna spent €4.5m to sign Svanberg from Malmo back in 2018. Three years later, they’d now demand €20m to let him go. Calcio Mercato says the player is ‘ready to answer’ the call from other clubs.
