Turkish newspaper Aksam claim Leicester City are insistent for Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi after being linked with the player in recent months.
The Kosovo striker has been in impressive form for the Yellow Canaries since joining the club from Caykur Rizespor last summer and he’s been continuously linked with a move to the Premier League.
Aksam claim Leicester will target Muriqi if they manage to qualify for the Champions League for next season. Brendan Rodgers reportedly wants to sign Muriqi to partner him with Jamie Vardy next season.
Fenerbahce value the player in the region of €30m, and they could be forced to sell him next summer to create a transfer budget for new arrivals.
The Turkish giants are well behind in the title race and are currently sitting in 7th place with 10 games to play.
This means they are to unlikely to play in the Champions League next season and Muriqi could leave as a result.
The 25 year old is under contract at Fenerbahce until June 2023.
