Leicester City are one of the clubs in the mix to sign Lilian Brassier in the winter market.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who cover Leicester’s interest in the centre-back, who joined Marseille from Brest on loan with an option to buy in the summer window.

The Frenchman played 10 games for Roberto De Zerbi’s side this season and clocked in 185 minutes since the start of October.

His mixed season so far at Marseille didn’t stop the defender from attracting interest from Leicester and other clubs.

Foot Mercato’s title says several clubs are ‘hot’ for the 25-year-old and the Foxes get a mention within the report. Along with Leicester, OGC Nice, an unnamed Ligue 1 side and Villarreal have all ‘come forward’ to sign him and contacted his entourage.

Both Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side and the Yellow Submarine are his interested parties from abroad.

With regards to the Premier League side, the report states they are looking for a centre-back in January and have Brassier at the top of their list.

Brassier, for his part, isn’t keen on leaving Marseille next month and therefore, Leicester and other interested parties have to convince him to secure his services.
