It seems that the links between Leicester City and the Sporting midfielder Adrien Silva won’t vanish so soon.

Back in the last summer window, the Foxes came very close to signing the player, and he even announced he would be leaving the Portuguese club.

But Sporting managed to turn down the bid at the last minute, saying that Leicester’s offer was nowhere near what they were demanding for the transfer.

CapturarOn Friday, Portuguese newspaper A Bola has an article saying that the interest still exists, and the Foxes haven’t forgot about him.

It’s recalled that Adrien Silva was ‘almost’ signed last summer for around €30m, although it isn’t said how much Sporting would demand now, although it’s thought to be more.

Silva has a €45m release clause, and despite the weird situation after telling fans he would be leaving, the captain has worked to prove himself again, and is still loved at the club.

Leicester City’s situation has obviously changed a lot since last summer, so it’s hard to know if the player would accept the move again.
