Leicester City were one of the clubs who had scouts at the Liga Bwin match between FC Porto and SC Braga at the weekend, according to reports from Portugal.
Newspaper A Bola says the Foxes watched the clash which finished with a 1-0 win for the home side, with winger Luis Diaz scoring the winner.
The report doesn’t detail which players the spies from Leicester City were specifically watching, even though it’s hard not to imagine they were impressed with the Colombian star, who’s been in great form.
Besides impressing at the Copa America, where he was the top scorer, Diaz had already scored 12 times for Porto this season, and now won the Northern derby with a beautiful goal.
But of course there was more talent to be seen at the match, with Porto midfielders Matheus Uribe and Vitinha both doing great for the home side. For Braga, goalkeeper Matheus and midfielder Francisco Moura both had their performances praised by the local media as well.
Leicester City are one of the clubs who frequently have scouts in Portugal, with a few visits to Porto being reported by the local media. So it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them going after local talents in the upcoming transfer windows.
