Leicester City are reportedly ready to place a bid for Sassuolo defender Francesco Acerbi.
After some talks and planning over Christmas, the Foxes are set to put €10m on the table, according to the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The offer is described as very tempting for Sassuolo, who would be even looking for replacements for the 28-year-old already.
Acerbi already got close to leaving Sassuolo during the last summer window, when Inter Milan wanted to sign him. But he was convinced to stay and play the Europa League for the club.
However, after being knocked-out in the group stage, it may be time for him to go.
Acerbi could have the chance to play the Champions League round-of-16 for Leicester City now, which would be an unique opportunity for him. The chance to play in England under an Italian manager is also said to be exciting.
If Gazzetta’s report is to be believed, it seems that all the parties want the transfer to happen.
