After signing the likes of Islam Slimani and Adrien Silva, it seems that Leicester City still plan to make some business in Portugal.
Leicester keep their eyes on the country, with some clubs being watched more than once. Yesterday, for example, was a night to have officials at Porto. After visiting the club back in December, it was time to watch them in a Champions League match.
With the locals being thrashed 5-0 by Liverpool, there weren’t many positives to take from this match. And since the Portuguese press hasn’t been linking the Foxes to any Porto player, it’s hard to tell if there was a special target being watched.
The likes of Otávio and Tiquinho Soares still managed to have a regular match, being more calm than their teammates, but that was still not enough to stop Liverpool’s superb performance.
In total, 22 clubs sent scouts to Portugal to watch this match. Just from England, Newcastle United, Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton, Watford, Chelsea and Arsenal were all represented.
