Leicester City are one of several clubs interested in Paris Saint Germain youngster Adil Aouchiche should he not sign a new deal at the French club.

The 17-year-old midfielder is highly-rated by the Ligue 1 champions, and they are keen to sign him to his first professional contract.

He is ‘ready’ to do so, but negotiations in January saw him demand €3m while he has also made it clear that a prerequisite of him staying is a guarantee of more playing time under Thomas Tuchel.

He’s so far managed just three appearances in the first-team, with his last appearance in Ligue 1 coming at the end of August.

Talks with PSG chief Leonardo are planned for the coming week, but if they cannot find an agreement, there is every chance that he could become the latest talent to jump ship.

PSG have seen several players, such as Moussa Diaby, Christopher Nkunku and Tanguy Kouassi depart in recent years and Aouchiche is seemingly ready to do the same if he doesn’t get what he wants.

Thus, a form of ‘poker’ around him has being ongoing for the last few months, and several clubs are all at the table according to Fussball Transfers.

Bayer Leverkusen, Saint-Étienne, Rennes and Lille are all ready to make their move but so are Leicester, who are said to ‘lure’ the midfielder to the Premier League.

FT do not make it clear if the Foxes have made their move or even contacted the youngster as yet, just that their interest is there.

Leicester, however, have a strong history of developing young talent and giving them playing time, particularly under Brendan Rodgers, who has handed starring roles to the likes of Ben Chilwell and Youri Tielemans since his arrival.

That could make Leicester an attractive prospect for Aouchiche, particularly if he’s demanding regular game time.
