Leicester City are ready to release Adrien Silva from his contract, according to claims on Thursday.

French outlet Foot Mercato says that manager Brendan Rodgers doesn’t count on him for the upcoming season, and will set him free to choose his new club.

Adrien Silva actually has a deal with the Foxes running until 2021, but the club have chosen not to even demand a fee for his move this summer.

Foot Mercato points out that Russian sides CSKA and Spartak have both been linked to him, but according to their information, there are also two clubs from Qatar willing to sign the 31-year-old.

Adrien Silva been linked to Sampdoria as well, however, his staff didn’t want to comment on the subject.

It’s interesting that despite praising the midfielder for his good loan spell at Monaco last season, the website doesn’t even consider his stay at the French side.

Silva joined Leicester City in a €20m deal from Sporting in 2017, and only made 21 appearances for the Foxes.
