Leeds United have put Udinese defender Jaka Bijol in their sights, and he is currently one of the ‘hottest names’ on their list.

That’s according to journalist Marco Conterio, who reports that Leeds want to strengthen their defence this summer, and the Slovenian is in their sights.

According to his information, Udinese have asked for around €20m to let the 26-year-old depart this summer.

Bijol has been with Udinese since joining them in a €4m deal from CSKA Moscow in July 2022 and has made 95 appearances for the Serie A side since.

His current deal expires in 2027 so they may view this summer as the ideal time to sell, rather than heading in to the following summer with just one year left on his deal.

Leeds are willing to in ‘strong’ for him anyway, according to Conterio, who reports that the Slovenian is in their sights and he’s one o the hottest names on their transfer shortlist. Whether they’d be willing to pay €20m or anything near that figure remains to be seen.

Daniel Farke’s side are expected to be busy after securing promotion back to the Premier League and will reportedly have funds to spend on bolstering their squad.
