On January 10th, Corriere dello Sport explained that Hull City have ‘moved’ to sign Lazio’s Vedat Muriqi in the winter market.

The Championship side are not the only English club said to be chasing him as they are now reportedly joined by Leeds United.

The striker has made 11 league appearances this season, which includes only one start. Therefore, he is among the players who have been made available in the January market by the Serie A side.

That’s according to La Lazio Siamo Noi, who first explain Hull City have decided to move for other transfer objectives this month, perhaps feeling this was too difficult a deal to complete.

Regarding the Whites, the title states the Premier League side ‘think of Muriqi’ and have a ‘formula’ to take him away from the Biancocelesti. Within the report, it’s said that after Hull City moved away, ‘the interest of Leeds has been registered in recent hours’.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have managed only 21 goals from 19 league matches and are 16th in the table. To improve this record, they want to bring in a new striker this month.

Leeds have registered interest in Muriqi, but are only looking to sign the player on a loan deal.
