Ezgjan Alioski was absent from Macedonia’s first training session of the international break, reports Ekipa.

The Leeds United player isn’t thought to be injured but, along with Goran Pandev, he hasn’t yet arrived at the national team camp.

Media in the country aren’t speculating on reasons for the absences and there’s no claim yet of either player won’t be available for the upcoming matches.

Alisoki played for Leeds in their 4-1 defeat to West Brom on Saturday, and has had plenty of time to make the trip to Switzerland, where the squad are gathering. Likewise, Pandev was part of Genoa’s squad on Saturday as they lost 2-1 at home to Napoli.

Given both are senior players for Macedonia, it’s possible the pair have been given a little extra time to arrive, allowing a prolonged post-match rest.

Monday saw the Swedish FA confirm that Pontus Jansson has pulled out of their squad for the current international break, suffering from a foot injury picked up at the weekend.
