Leeds United are interested in Espanyol’s Raúl de Tomás, according to reports from Spain.

The 26-year-old decided to continue at the club after they were relegated from La Liga last season.

De Tomás has been outstanding in the second division and has been leading from the front to help the Catalan club return to the top flight. He has 16 goals and two assists in 29 league matches this season.

Fichajes.net has a report on the forward and their title reads ‘three Premier League clubs want to sign Raúl de Tomás’.

Within the report, it’s stated the Whites are one of the three sides targeting the Spaniard and they will ‘try to sign’ him in the next market.

Marcelo Bielsa has Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo Moreno as the two recognised strikers at his disposal.

The former Valencia man has struggled in his first season in England, and last week reports stated he wants to return to Spain in the summer.

Bielsa wants to sign a new striker as an alternative to Bamford and the report claims Rodrigo’s departure ‘would facilitate’ De Tomás’ arrival at Elland Road.
