Leeds United are one of the clubs in the race to sign Excelsior Rotterdam’s Couhaib Driouech, according to Eindhovens Dagblad, relayed by Voetbal Zone.

The winger finished the recently concluded season with eight goals and eight assists from 33 games, and his side have been relegated from the Eredivisie.

Driouech, who has a contract lasting until 2025, is in ‘great demand’ as 10 clubs are keen to secure his services, and the report mentions Leeds, Sevilla and PSV Eindhoven.

PSV wanted to sign the Morocco U23 international in the winter market, and he continues to be a target for them.

According to ED, the Dutch champions have tabled an offer of just over €2m, and the player favours joining them. The report adds PSV’s bid hasn’t been accepted by Excelsior.

Leeds, Sevilla and other clubs have shown interest in the player, and the Dutch club not accepting PSV’s proposal gives others a chance to sign him.

The report says Excelsior are requesting a fee between €3.5m and €4m, and there’s no mention if the Whites, Sevilla or any other club are willing to meet their demand.
