Leeds United’s interest in Kristian Pedersen has been reported in Germany over the past few days, with even claims an offer has been made to Union Berlin for the player.

This is all causing a surprising fuss in Belgium and the reason for that is Laurens de Bock.

We’d forgotten about the former Club Brugge player, but people in Belgium haven’t… and it’s all rather dramatic.

Belgium’s Voetbal24 go with a headline saying ‘Very painful news about De Bock at Leeds United’, and they state ‘it really doesn’t look good for the player’.

That’s all down to the Pedersen links, with the assumption De Bock would be edged out.

Then there’s the Blauw-zwart Club Brugge related website who don’t do a good job of hiding some ill feeling towards the Leeds United player. They headline an article ‘De Bock cannot handle the level and has to leave Leeds’, which is again rather dramatic.

It’s pointed out that even before he moved to Leeds, De Bock had lost his place at Club Brugge.
