Dundee have made any club wanting to sign Greg Stewart aware they will have to offer over £1m this summer. The forward is out of contract with the SPL club next summer, and has been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent months.
Dundee Evening Telegraph have today reported the Scottish club will dig their heels in this summer, and not allow Stewart leave on the cheap.
A number of clubs are chasing the Dundee man, with claims Leeds United are willing to stump up £1m to land the 26-year-old in the transfer window.
Dundee’s valuation of Stewart is unlikely to deter Leeds United, and this is likely to give them an advantage over Scottish clubs if they really want to buy the player this summer.
Aberdeen have been showing an interest and are willing to offer Dundee £300,000. However, this will not land them Stewart, and they’d have to hope he stays where he is and is available in January at a further reduced fee.
Rangers and Hearts have also been linked to Stewart in the past few months, but could by fazed by the forward’s valuation.
