Ternana forward Felipe Avenatti has given an indication he’s likely to leave the Serie B side in the summer. The 23-year old’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he’s been linked with other clubs including Leeds United.

Speaking to Ternana News, Aveantti was asked about his future, and whether there was an update on his contract situation. The Uruguayan said he will continue to fight for Ternana with the club in danger of dropping into Lega Pro. He highlighted his contract expires in six months, and all he can do now is to play his best for the club.

“I have contract until June and I will give my best to not let Ternana drop into C,” said the Leeds United target.

Avenatti has been linked with a move to Leeds United in previous transfer windows, and again there were claims they made an approach for the forward in the summer.

Recent comments suggest Avenatti will not be extending his contract with Ternana, and consequently Leeds United, along with Serie A clubs, have been monitoring the situation in recent months.

With recent reports Chris Wood is being targeted by a Chinese club and others, Avenatti could still be an option for Leeds United boss Garry Monk.
