Norrköping defender Linus Wahlqvist could decide on his future next month. The 20-year-old has been linked with a summer move to Leeds United, but Fiorentina are again interested in the youngster.
Speaking to Fotbol Direkt, Wahlqvist was asked about his future following interest from the likes of Leeds United and Fiorentina.
The Swede confirmed he just wants to concentrate on his side’s remaining games before the June break. Wahlqvist said during this period he and his agent will see what happens, which suggests the Sweden international will think over his future.
“I’ve told my agent that I’ll play these three matches left in the league before the break. Then we’ll see what happens,” said the Sweden international on his future.
Leeds United have already tried to sign the right back, making an approach for Wahlqvist last summer. Throughout this season Leeds United have continued to be linked with the youngster in the Swedish media, and it’s expected they’ll again show interest in the next window.
Garry Monk’s exit could impact Leeds United interest, and if they do make a move it’ll give Wahlqvist another consideration.
