Fotomac have reported Trazbonspor are officially in talks to sign Leeds United forward Caleb Ekuban.

The Turkish club have been linked with the Leeds United player in recent days and they are looking to get a deal done before Friday’s Super Lig transfer deadline.

According to Fotomac, Trazbonspor have informed KAP (the Turkish stock market) that they are in negotiations to sign Ekuban as their search for a forward continues. Yesterday the Leeds United man was pictured in Turkey ahead of his move to the Super Lig club.

Speaking about his proposed move to Trazbonspor, Ekuban said: “I knew how big a club Trabzonspor are. I can’t wait to play here. Last year I had a bad time, but I am fit, and I’ll do everything for the team.”

Ekuban now looks on the verge of joining Trabzonspor on loan for the season with some reports the Turkish club will have a right of redemption on the 24 year old.

The striker joined Leeds United from Chievo just over 12 months ago but struggled in his debut season in England.

Club president Ali Agaoglu this week said Ekuban is a low-cost option for Trabzonspor and the Turkish media reported the player will earn €300K this season.
