There are reports coming out of the Netherlands that ADO Hen Haag are experiencing financial problems. The Erdesive side are struggling to meet their day to day running costs, which could put a question mark over the future of the club’s key players.
Voetbal Primeur have reported on ADO Hen Haag’s worrying financial situation, despite it showing signs of improvement. They claim the Dutch side are having issues with their housekeeping such as the player’s wages, and leasing their stadium from the local council.
This could have consequences for the club keeping hold of their players, which would include Tom Beugelsdijk. The central defender has been tracked by a number of clubs in recent months, including Leeds United.
In the summer we covered reports from the Dutch media that Leeds United sent scouts to Holland to watch ADO Den Haag take on Excelsior. At the time it was reported Garry Monk was impressed with the Dutchman because he believed his physicality would make him suitable for English football.
There were also claims in the last window Serie A side Sampdoria and Pesacara were interested in the defender.
Beugelsdijk is seen as something of a cult hero with the ADO Den Haag fans, and subsequently Leeds United, Pescara and Sampdoria will find it difficult to convince the player to leave in the next transfer window.
However, with ADO Hen Haag having these problems they could be forced to sell to raise revenue.
