Seeing off rather tough competition to sign Ezgjan Alioski from FC Lugano, Leeds United appear to have picked up quite the player.
With a goal and three assists in his first seven appearances for the club, the winger has also started making a name for himself on the international scene for Macedonia, appearing in nine of their last 10 games, only missing one through a yellow card suspension.
At 25, Alioski’s dream was to play in England, which the move to Elland Road fulfilled, and last week, the Leeds United star decided it was time to give back to someone without who this never would have happened: his father.
Inviting him to their headquarters with the false pretence of boring paperwork, the representatives then asked Alioski’s dad to follow them outside for a surprise, where they gave him the keys to his new vehicle.
Explaining to his father via a video call that this was a gift for everything he had done for him to help him get this far, the Leeds United forward left his family member speechless.
A nice touch from a player quickly becoming a fan favourite at Elland Road these days.
