Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has revealed the joy he gets when the Elland Road faithful song about him. The 25-year-old looks to be on the verge of joining Leeds United on a permanent deal in this transfer window.
In an interview with Expressen.se, the Sweden international was asked about the songs the Leeds United fans have come up with in since his arrival.
Jansson said he appreciates the attention he’s received from the club’s faithful, despite only being at Leeds United for six months. The Swede said it’s special when they sing his name, especially given that the defender already has two songs dedicated to him.
“It’s fun to feel appreciated in this way. I have two songs now and it’s a pretty special feeling when you hear the fans vary from one to the other,” said the Leeds United star.
Jansson has become a cult hero since his move form Torino to Leeds United in the summer. His no nonsense style has won the hearts of the Leeds United fans, and they will be hoping he soon becomes a permanent player at the club.
Everything is pointing towards a Jansson stay, especially given the player has said it’s what he wants himself.
