Leeds United summer signing Pontus Jansson believes the players need to start taking responsibility in order to turn their season around. Garry Monk’s side lost at the weekend to Huddersfield town, and as a result only have one league win in this campaign.

Speaking to the YEP, Jansson said it’s now up to him and his teammates to start making it happen on the pitch ahead of their game with Blackburn Rovers. The Swede thinks they now need to get a win for Monk following their poor form, and show some focus.

“We have to take responsibility and it’s us that do the job on the pitch, not him. On Tuesday we are going to win for the coach. That’s the only focus we have now. We have to win on Tuesday against Blackburn and we can’t think in another direction,” said the Leeds United defender.

Leeds United are currently 21st in the league table, and are under pressure to get a win against Blackburn Rovers tomorrow night. The Championship side are already ten points behind leaders Huddersfield Town after just six games of the new season.
