Swedish newspaper Sydsvenskan believe Leeds United defender could give Sweden manager Jansson Andersson a selection dilemma ahead of their World Cup qualifiers. The 24-year-old has watched from the sidelines in the last few games for his country, but his recent impressive form could force a place in the starting eleven.
With his recent displays, Sydsvenskan reports Jansson is now established with the Championship side, which has made a statement to the Sweden coach ahead of their next two games. They say his performance is even more the remarkable given he came off in the game against Bristol City last week with a muscle injury.
“He’s established himself seriously in Leeds. Played the ninety minutes at the weekend when Leeds United defeated Barnsley 2-1 at home. It’s a statement also to coach Janne Andersson before the World Cup qualifiers given that Jansson came off in the last game on Tuesday with a thigh injury,” said the Swedish media.
Jansson has made himself a favourite with the Elland Road faithful following his move to the club in the summer. His performances have earned rave reviews, and the Swede already has a song made for him by the Leeds United fans.
