Earlier this week Leeds United sealed a deal for Club Brugge defender Laurens de Bock, but his official unveiling on the Championship side’s TV station has caused bemusement in the Belgian media.
Yesterday LUTV announced the signing of Leeds United latest signing, but what has become apparent in the captions of De Bock playing for Brugge is that some of the clips are of his former teammate Ruud Vormer.
The video does show De Bock putting in a crunching tackle and scoring a goal, but LUTV have also included Vormer netting twice for the Belgian side.
In defence of Leeds United the two players do look alike, but this hasn’t stopped the Belgian press picking up on their mistake, including Nieuwsblad.
De Bock has signed a four and half year deal with Leeds United after the Enlgaish club opened talks with his agent this week.
The 25 year old is now in line to make his debut for his new club this weekend when Leeds United take on Ipswich Town.
