According to a claim in the Scottish media, Brighton have joined the race to sign Hearts youngster Harry Cochrane.
The 16 year old has impressed since making debut for the SPL club this season, and has also been linked with move to Leeds United.
The Scottish Sun have today reported Brighton are the latest club to show an interest in Cochrane, and could be set for a battle with Leeds United to sign the 16 year old.
It’s been revealed Leeds United were interested in Cochrane before he made the breakthrough this season with Hearts, but now face Premier League competition to land the midfielder.
Cochrane only signed a professional contract with Hearts last summer, and made his debut for the club in September.
The young midfielder caught the eye in Hearts’ 4-0 victory over Celtic in December, when he scored his side’s opening goal, and ended the Hoops’ 69 game unbeaten run.
