Leeds United have sent an ‘ultimatum’ to Barcelona to make their move for Raphinha as they rush to get rid of the Brazilian.
That’s according to Sport, who say Leeds are ‘in a hurry to sell’ their star after finalising a deal to sign Luis Sinisterra from Feyenoord.
The newspaper explains that Leeds are aware Raphinha has prioritised a move to Barcelona this summer, despite receiving financially superior offers from other clubs.
Thus they want to get a deal over the line after weeks of haggling and have now sent an ultimatum to those in charge at the Nou Camp.
They want Barcelona to improve their offer so they can ‘close the deal’ for the Brazilian and move on from a protracted and increasingly drawn-out transfer affair.
Chelsea and Arsenal are ‘pressing’ with very attractive proposals for the forward, but he is resisting their offers as he waits for Barcelona.
The problem is that Leeds are not willing to delay the operation now that they have secured the signing of Sinisterra from Feyenoord.
Those in charge at Elland Road are even planning to sign another winger with the money they get from Raphinha’s sale.
However, their current demands remain too high for Barcelona despite the player being a priority signing.
