Leeds United have identified OGC Nice’s Jérémie Boga as a target for this summer.
Since securing promotion, the Whites have already added four new players to their squad, and are looking to strengthen their attack.
That’s according to Africa Foot, who state Leeds United have the 28-year-old on their agenda.
There’s been claims of Süper Lig interest from Turkey, but Africa Foot state ‘sources close to the player indicate’ that Leeds have offered €15m to the Ligue 1 club.
The player is a product of Chelsea’s youth system but failed to cement his place in their first team. After a few loan spells, he left the Blues permanently to join Sassuolo in 2018.
Despite the unsuccessful spell at Chelsea, the report states the attacker wouldn’t mind returning to England to join Leeds. Meanwhile, Trabzonspor have held talks with Nice for him.
Boga managed three goals and an assist from 24 games last season. A muscle injury kept him on the sidelines for close to 70 days between November and February and struggled to get back into the starting lineup since then.
