According to a claim in the Swedish media, Leeds United are looking to the Allsvenskan as they plan for next season.
The west Yorkshire club look on course for promotion back to the Premier League and will be looking to add to their squad this summer.
Fotboll Direkt have reported on Leeds United interest in a player from Mjällby AIF, although it isn’t precisely clear who they are targeting. They say Leeds and Hammarby have been keen on Niklas Rokjaer and Noel Törnqvist, without it being clear which one is keen on which.
Regardless of which player it is, Mjällby AIF are looking at 20mSEK for either. Thankfully that converts to around £1.5m.
Leeds United are currently top in the Championship and with just eight games left this season they could grab one of the two automatic places. It seems they already have an eye on next season and will be looking to recruit during the next window.
However, with third placed Burnley just two points behind, the Elland Road club can’t afford any slip ups going into the final games.
There’s been multiple reports in recent months about Leeds United watching the Scandinavian market, and it’s clear they believe there’s value to be had.
