Leeds United are ‘ready’ to bring midfielder Ronaldo Vieira back to the club, with his prospects at Sampdoria not looking good.
That’s according to Club Doria, who say Marcelo Bielsa’s side could make a move for their former player.
They explain that there is a question mark over Vieira’s future at Sampdoria as he has failed to force his way into manager Roberto D’Aversa’s squad despite there being an ‘emergency in midfield’.
His future, therefore, could be away from the club, and Leeds are ‘ready to pick him up’ if that is the case.
They would ‘give him a taste of the Premier League’, and his lack of chances were he is mean he could now ‘decide to change air’.
The Premier League is ‘tempting’ to him, and with Leeds on the radar, he could now take up the chance to return to England after ‘failed engagements’ in the summer.
Leeds interest is nothing new, of course, with it reported earlier this month that Bielsa ‘would gladly welcome’ his signing. That followed two reports in December that the Whites were convincing the player to return and he could ‘pack his bags’ at Sampdoria.
There’s no suggestion that there’s been any talks or anything of that nature yet, but the interest is clearly there this month, and that could translate into something over the coming weeks.
