The Catalan media are now endless with their claims about Raphinha and a potential move to Barcelona.
As is often the case when the Blaugrana reportedly target a player, Sport state the Leeds United man very much wants the move to the Camp Nou. They explain he’s said ‘yes’ to the transfer, so it’s now a case of finding an agreement with the Elland Road club, which will be easier said than done.
Sport report Raphinha has asked his agent, Deco, to do ‘everything possible’ to secure a summer move to Barcelona. He considers that his ‘time has come’ and he’s ready to take the step up to one of the world’s biggest clubs.
The article explains the Leeds player is ‘not going to position himself publicly’, so won’t talk about the potential transfer, because he still has a contract with the Yorkshire club.
That doesn’t mean a great deal if he’s prepared to rock the boat behind the scenes, something which is still to be seen.
Despite all of this, the €35m figure continues to be pushed and it’s got to be considered unlikely that Leeds United would sell for that amount in the next market. That is unless their season collapses and they’re relegated to the Championship.
