This week, we covered reports from the Greek press that Leeds United defender Laurens de Bock is a transfer target for Aris.

It was reported that if the Greek club progressed in the Europa League, they’d announce the arrival of the Leeds United player on a loan deal.

Aris beat AEL to reach the 3rd round of the qualifying stages and Sdna.Gr report they are now close to singing the Belgian full back.

According to the Sdna, the Greek Super League side will announce his arrival very soon after reaching a ‘final agreement’ with both the player and Leeds United over a season-long loan deal.

De Bock will reportedly travel to Greece on Monday to join up with his new teammates and Sdna.Gr say Aris are hoping he can provide competition for the left-back spot.

The 26 year old joined Leeds United from Club Brugge in 2018 but failed to hold down a regular place.

After spending last season on loan at Belgian club KW Oostende it’s clear he’s not in the plans of Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa and another loan move always looked likely.

He’s under contract at Elland Road until June 2022.
