There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Leeds United loanee Caleb Ekuban is receiving ‘great’ interest from Italy.
The 25 year old spent seven years at Chievo Verona before his move to Leeds in 2017, but he could be set for a return to his country of birth.
Fanatik today report on the latest developments regarding the future of Ekuban following claims earlier this week Trabzonspor are ready to cash in on the forward once they purchase him outright from Leeds United.
Ekuban has been on loan with the Super Lig club since last summer and they can redeem the player for €1m at the end of the season. However, due to the reported interest from other clubs Trabzonspor could be looking to offload him for €10m, making a big and quick profit.
There had been reports in Turkey of interest from elsewhere, without any further details, and it’s now seems this was from Italy, although the clubs are still unnamed.
The Ghana international is contracted to Leeds United until June 2021 but it looks like his time with the Elland Road club is coming to an end.
