Leeds United forward Marcus Antonsson has revealed he isn’t too concerned about the lack of playing time he’s been getting recently. The 25-year-old joined Leeds in the last window, but has played just eight league games for Garry Monk’s side.

In an interview with fotbolltransfers.com, Antonsson was asked about the lack of games he’s played in since arriving in England. The Swede said at the moment he doesn’t see it as a problem because he believes he has strengths which could help Leeds United. The forward revealed he’s still proud to belong to a club like Leeds United, despite not getting the prominence he’d prefer.

“No, I feel comfortable and I know that this league has its weaknesses where I have my strengths. I will not give up just because I sit on the bench, but I’m proud and happy to belong to Leeds,” said the Elland Road summer signing.

Antonsson joined Leeds United in June from Allsvenskan side FC Kalmar. The Swede signed a three-year deal with Leeds United for a fee in the region of £2m. However, unlike compatriot Pontus Jansson he’s not made a huge impact so far in his Leeds United career.
