Despite having joined Leeds United on a move from Barcelona this summer, Rafa Mújica knows there will be a long way until he gets to play for the Elland Road side.
A month after his arrival at the Championship club, the 20-year-old has returned to his home country, having agreed a one-year loan spell with Extremadura, who have an option to buy.
The striker is still to make his debut for the La Liga2 side, since he’s still getting fit for the challenge. He was the last player to join the squad, and now is preparing himself so he can take part in the next games.
Speaking to the local press this week, Mujica has talked about his aspirations at the Spanish side, saying he knows exactly what his plans are.
“I come with the very clear ideas here: Work to the fullest in each training and learn from the players that in the squad”, said Mujica (via Hoy).
Extremadura face Cadiz next Sunday, and even though Hoy says he could make his debut in that match, the player is in no hurry to get to the pitch.
“I’m looking to grow, I’m still young; I’m looking for trying to win a position in this team and help as much as possible.”
