Leeds United were repeatedly linked with a move for Rodrigo De Paul during the last transfer market, and the Whites still get a mention when it comes to the future of the Udinese player.

On Monday, Marcelo Bielsa’s side were brought into the picture when Juventus interest was reported. In the last window it was stated Udinese wanted €40m, but there’s a belief in Turin that he could soon be available for €35m.

Tuesday sees OkCalciomercato cover comments the player has given to SportItalia about a potential exit from the Serie A club. Before that they list the pack interested as Juventus, Fiorentina, Lazio and Leeds United.

Elsewhere in Italy, Inter Milan have also been dragged into the chase for the Argentine’s signature.

De Paul himself has now tried to calm Udinese fans who are worried he may push for an exit. The club are currently 13th in Serie A, and it’s not too unfair to say the 26-year-old deserves a bigger stage than the one he has.

However, it doesn’t sound like he’ll be pushing for one, with the player quoted as saying: “I will never leave here asking for the sale or slamming the door, I am fine and I have no intention of leaving.”

With a contract lasting until June 2024, there’s no pressure on Udinese, and with De Paul not wanting to force a move it’s going to be difficult for any of the interested clubs to secure him.
