Leeds United summer signing Marcus Antonsson has hailed his Elland Road teammates on social media. The Swede has struggled to get games for Garry Monk’s side in recent weeks, mainly due to the form of top scorer Chris Wood.
Antonsson has posted on Instagram a team photo of his Leeds United teammates, with the comments “great team”. Leeds United were preparing for their vital game against Brighton on Saturday, and a win will help them consolidate their place in the play-offs. However, it’s unlikely Antonsson will figure in Monk’s plans after being left out of recent match day squads.
Antonsson has only played a handful of league games for Leeds United despite a promising start by the forward. The player was recently asked by the Swedish media about returning to his home country in the summer, but the 25-year-old insisted he would remain with Leeds United.
However, with just five appearances this season for Monk’s side it’s likely the Swede will have to consider his Elland Road future at the end of the season.
