According to a claim in the Swedish media Linus Wahlvist could leave IFK Norrköping when his contract expires in six months time.
The 21 year old had been linked with a move to Leeds United in the past.
Fotbollskanalen report Wahlvist could finally make the move abroad when his contract expires with IFK, and that there are clubs showing an interest.
His agent Martin Dahlin, who also represents Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson, has confirmed there is interest in his client: “There is clearly a lot of interest in Linus, but I have no comments on who.”
Despite Dahlin not revealing which clubs are interested, Fotbollskanalen claim Fortuna Düsseldorf are tracking the Swede. The German club were recently promoted to the Bundesliga.
Leeds United have already tried to sign the right back, making an approach for Wahlqvist in 2016.
The Championship side continued to be linked with the youngster, with reports last year they were preparing an offer for the right back. However, with the change of ownership and manager at Leeds United their interest in Wahlqvist quietened.
Despite this, the chance to sign a defender with the potential of Wahlqvist could be a tempting option for Leeds United. And the agent link would certainly help.
