Brenden Aaronson will be Leeds United’s first summer signing as the Whites have already reached an agreement with Red Bull Salzburg for his transfer.

The Premier League side could raid Red Bull Salzburg again as they have their eyes set on Rasmus Kristensen.

Reports in the UK earlier this week discussed Leeds United’s interest in the Denmark international.

Thursday’s edition of Ekstra Bladet explains the right-back is on the exit ramp at Red Bull Salzburg and is expected to make a switch to one of the top European leagues this summer.

It’s claimed that Leeds United have put a bid of around 87m Danish krone [£10m] ‘on the table’ and have ‘opened negotiations’ with the Austrian champions for Kristensen.

The newspaper makes it clear the deal is ‘still at an early stage’ as there is no agreement in place between the two clubs. In addition to this, the 24-year-old has not given the green light to join the English club.

Jesse Marsch joined Leeds United in February, just months after being sacked at RB Leizpig. The German club took him from Red Bull Salzburg last summer.

The manager ‘knows everything’ about Kristensen as he signed him for Red Bull Salzburg from Ajax in 2019.

Luke Ayling picked up a serious injury and after undergoing a surgery, he is set to be out of action for most of this year.

If Kristensen ends up moving to Elland Road, the Dane will be able to help Leeds solve a problem in the right-back position.
